Stockholm, Sweden, 13-15 July 2018 – Migration is not just an economic, social, demographic, cultural, and political issue. Precisely because it has become an increasingly politicized topic, only through communication one can understand today the reasons for this global human movement, and the presence of migrants and their integration into European societies. So, firstly, how can we communicate, inform people, and train the Catholic faithful to a correct perception of the migration issue? What tools to use? How can we be witnesses to the good that is being done in Europe even through the Catholic Church? How can we fight the numerous “fake news” that populate the virtual squares and distort reality? These are the questions faced by those in charge of the pastoral care of migrants of the European Catholic Bishops’ Conferences.
